Church Happenings

Our gathered worship continues this evening at 6:30 PM. Grant Ailie will be preaching from Matthew 6:13-16, “Being Salt and Light.”

Mid-week gathering (Sept. 8) is from 7-8:30 PM. We will have a survey of 1 Peter, a book especially helpful for people undergoing trials.

Offerings gratefully received last Sunday were $774.00.

Our church’s 30th anniversary will be recognized on Sunday, September 19. Nick Britton, the founding pastor, will be preaching in the morning and evening. Nick is a pastor in Hagerstown, Maryland. We will have a fellowship lunch after the morning service on that Sunday.

Pastor Jeff is in Houston this weekend helping celebrate his mother’s birthday. This morning he is attending Spring Branch Community Church where his brother, Tony, is an elder. We appreciate brothers Wayne Conrad, John Ailie, Larry Newman, and Soren McMillan for their ministry in our congregational worship today.

Ruth Orozco, along with David and Linda, are in Mexico, visiting the children’s grandmother.

Pray for these friends in Maharasthra, India: Eric Sackman, his mother Yamuna, and his son Richie. They have all contracted malaria.

Thanks to those who have signed up for building cleaning. There are still some Saturdays that need to be covered.

Upcoming special preachers at FCC: October 3 – Abraham Joseph (one of our missionaries to India); and October 24 (Pepe Moreno, pastor from Spain).
